In her revelatory one-woman show, award-winning Broadway and cabaret star Karen Mason tells a funny, tuneful, and moving story about finding your voice and singing out before the song is over. Karen takes us on a sometimes gritty, sometimes goofy journey through the smoky cabarets and stages of 1970’s and 80’s New York and Chicago as she looks back at her sixteen-year relationship with her musical director, the composer Brian Lasser. Brian died of AIDS in 1992 and entrusted Karen with carrying on his work. In this inventive and unforgettable theatrical experience, she confronts the weight of his legacy and its effect on her life in song.
